What level is your faith?

I'd like to share with you what I learned about faith from the booklet of Rev. Fr. Julio Peñacoba entitled "Listening to God in Prayer".

It is about your prayer life based on your level of faith.

Check here which level you belong:

Indifferent level. They are those who do not relate with God, living as if He does not exist. Meaning, no relationship, no communication with God. No talking terms.

Basic faith level. As need arises faith or I may say, "I Run To You" faith. They are those who know that there is a loving God and relate with Him spontaneously especially in times of needs and petitions. They are grateful for the wondrous blessings they received from God. They are even aware of the wrongs they have done against Him. But these people seldom listen to God, maybe during times of needs, petitions or in happy times. There is no such continuous conversation with Him, reflection and listening to Him. Most of the time, it's the person who talks. The kind of prayer done is a one-way communication.

Loving faith level
.These are people who have a constant and loving communication with God everyday. They don't just talk to God about their needs but asking God what He wants from them. It is like a true and deep conversations between two friends. They are interested to know God's will and are willing to carry it out. They are those who really take time sit or kneel before the Tabernacle opening their hearts to God. They talk about themselves, their concerns, their loved ones and other people. There is regularity in their meetings with God. Just like any communication, this is a listening and responding level.

Whatever level you are in, now is the time to grow and nurture our faith. Faith is believing in God without seeing Him. It's a sure step to eternal life in heaven. Believing and loving God, for some maybe hard, but just try your best, surely it will give true joy and security in this life.

As St. Escriva's motto, "May you seek Christ, May you find Christ, May you love Christ". This is a long tested and efficacious advice from this saint in living a holier and happier life here on earth and the life to come. Life is a choice. Make your choice wisely, not to be among the five foolish virgins in the Scripture.
